Tennis commentator arrives at Queen’s Club on an Emu

Only day two of the 2016 Aegon Championships at The Queen’s Club, Roehampton and rain has already put the tournament behind schedule.

Thankfully, rain didn’t stop play for BBC TV and radio commentator, John Inverdale. John arrived at The Queen’s Club right on schedule and ready to go in front of the cameras after a 40 minute journey on his Emu electric bike.

He’s owned the bike since last year’s Wimbledon Championships and uses it to get to many of the sporting events he covers. “I find it a wonderfully easy and straightforward way of getting from A to B without the stress of everyday cycling. I’m a big fan,” John said recently.

We caught up with him just as cycled up to Queen’s, showing no signs of exertion and dressed ready to start commentating on the day’s action, including Andy Murray’s match against Nicholas Mahut.
